So this is kind of a random question, but I'm planning on doing a fresh Mountain Lion install, but restoring just my user (no Applications, settings, etc) with 500GB of stuff from my Time Capsule. Because of what I have already plugged into all the Ethernet ports, I'll have to start restoring using wi-fi, then later on I can safely use a wired port.
So my question is, if I'm restoring during the install process using wi-fi, then switch in the middle, will the Mac pick up the faster connection and use that? Or will it stay wi-fi the whole time?
I realize this is totally random and not something most people consider, but I thought I'd ask. I'll just wait if it won't switch, of course.
