Clean Leopard install on a SR MBP using Penryn Install Discs?

Basically, I bought a refurbished SR MBP that shipped with the 10.4.1 Install Discs which contains the iLife Apps -- it also shipped with the Leopard Drop-In cd and I upgraded with it right away.

I want to do a clean install of Leopard on my SR but the drop-in cd doesn't contain the iLife Apps.

Is it safe to use the Leopard Install Discs from a Penryn MBP (that I presume has the iLife Apps as well) that I purchased a few months ago? Will it have the right "drivers" or however that works because of the different processors?
