Clean Lion install from USB-new drive not listed as target

I've setup a lion install USB. I installed a brand new L, unformatted OWC SSD in the primary HD bay. Booted from the USB and formatted the SSD using Disk Utility successfully and exited Disk Utility.

Selected option to install OS X. After the screen to accept the license agreement, there is a screen to select the destination drive. The new SSD is not listed. It only lists the USB and a second drive that I have installed in the optical bay intended to hold data only.

Any ideas?
