My imac keyboard has collected quite a bit of gunk over the last y ear or so. Is there a good product for cleaning that stuff off?

I use the clorox wipes to clean my MB keyboard, after I turn the computer off, of course.

white plastic. model from a couple of years ago

This may not sound very safe, but I turn mine on it's side and give it a few hardish bangs on the desk to loosen and get some of the dirt out, and then get one of those air can things (forgot the name, I sound like an idiot, but I'm not  ) and blow the rest out of there.
Works okay for me.

Though, obviosly, the best solution is just to not eat and stuff around your computer.

thanks, but this isn't food and stuff, it's oil and dirt buildup. I need something to clean that off.

Ah!
Then that's simple!
Just pick up a magic eraser at your local grocery store.
Or even the dollar store.
That thing does, as its title says, magic.

Give it a go.

You might need to scrub a little, but it has worked great for me.

You can also use 91% rubbing alcohol and something lint free to wipe the surfaces. Either swabs or a cloth. The microfiber cloth listed above would be perfect. For swabs, use the foam type rather than cotton if possible. On stubborn areas, a toothbrush can work wonders as well.

Dry area with a can of air. (It helps to get the crevices dry). ;)

just go to the electronics store and buy a can of compressed air. just use that to chase the dirt out. wipes and liquids will only clean the keys, not the gunk sitting inside the plexiglass frame. good luck! im using an aluminum keyboard.. :D
