Hey guys !

i am making ready a macbook of my father this is the older mc books 2011

how do i know if its virus, trojan, spyware free?

is there any software that can assure me? i really do not want to format the computer.

The likelihood is that it is completely free of Viri, Trojans and Spyware. There really isn't that much that affects Macs at this time.

However you can download ClamXAV from the App store for free and scan your computer.

is that avast one enough? because i used that one and you can't have both on a machine.

I would get rid of Avast (which can create problems on a Mac, especially with Internet access) and install ClamXav.

Avast should be properly uninstalled (see required procedure).
