Hi there!

I just got an old wireless Keyboard from Apple (A1016) which was working, but really dirty. So I disassembled it, cleaned everything (keys, the 2 big plastic plates, acrylic case, contact foil with a damp cloth), let it dry a few hours and assembled it again.

It's working again, now all clean and looks like new. But my left SHIFT, CTRL and right CMD don't work anymore. I cleaned with 80% ethanol all 3 layers of the foil but can't bring it back to work. How can I restore this nice keyboard so every key works properly?

Best,
gagigu

Maybe the alcohol was to harsh or it was too wet? I had this keyboard as well and still have a corded one of which the spacebar stopped working all of a sudden, still need to check if I can fix that. I always cleaned the keys with water and dishsoap and the base with cotton swaps dipped in water.
