How do you all clean your Cinema Display? Nothing is on it right now except a bit of dust, which I was gently just going to brush off with the microfiber clother that was included with the display.

But for those other times, what do you use? Lightly damp microfiber with water? Iklear? (I heard some say it can be streaky)

Could these same techniques be applied to my wife's glossy screen Vaio?

thanks

I just use microfiber cloths on all my displays.

I have never, ever seen the need for anything else. Got a smudge? Breathe on it and then go in with the microfiber. Detergents are for sissies :D

uh... i wouldn't use detergent. detergent might get trapped in the display. i assume iKlear is isopropyl alcohol or methanol... which if you spray onto the microfibre cloth, and then clean the smudge, it'd be great... (don't just breathe on it:eek: )

and don't spray the alcohol directly on the screen either, it'd be too much.

and do it after you get the dust off, otherwise you'll get your microfibre cloth really dirty.

oh mannn but sniffin it it's where all the fun isssss....thats the only reason i clen my displays haha i kid...

best way for me

If it's only dust go on with Apple's clothe.
For fingerprints i found out another way with no chemicals.
Dump a kitchen paper of good brand (the ones that don't leave traces)
and gently apply on the screen while it's HOT.( IF you work for hours
on this display you will know that it gets hot. )
Any water stains left will dry out instantly. then with apple's cleaning
clothe (included with the display) apply gently and here it is crystal clear
and brand new.
