kind of a silly question but basically would it be ok to my 6s home button with a microfibre cloth and a tiny amount of windolene? I know windolene dries quickly like isopropanol?

Clean iPhone immediately if it comes into contact with contaminants that might cause stains, such as ink, dyes, makeup, dirt, food, oils, and lotions. To clean iPhone, unplug all cables and turn it off. Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid getting moisture in openings. Don't use window cleaners, household cleaners, compressed air, aerosol sprays, solvents, ammonia, or abrasives to clean iPhone. The front glass surfaces have an oleophobic coating. To remove fingerprints, wipe these surfaces with a soft, lint-free cloth. The ability of this coating to repel oil will diminish over time with normal use, and rubbing the screen with an abrasive material will further diminish its effect and might scratch the glass.

To clean the Home button (allowing Touch ID to work optimally), wipe it with a soft lint-free cloth.

I usually use a cotton pad and put a little alcohol on it. It gets rid of the grease and it dries quickly.

Thanks for the replies, my iPhone ocd is kicking off again, I thought I may have caused damage to the button / mechanism by cleaning around the button, it's just a phone .....

I can't understand why would you need to clean the home button,is it creating trouble unlocking the iPhone

Pretty expensive for "just a phone": more like a Star Trek communicator but way better. :) I do empathize with your concern.

Thanks, so yeah the glass of the digitiser that surrounds the home button is what I can see, not dust, if I look an angle you can see the edge of the glass
