In a few days I'm going on a trip and I have to use my sister's old macbook because my HP is awaiting a replacement wifi card but I would like to remove the nail polish that is caked on the lid of it before I go away. I know you are not suppose to use acetone based products nor isopropyl alcohol to clean it. Is there anyother way I can take the nail polish off.

Btw its a polycarbonate macbook

91 or 96% isopropyl alcohol works just fine. I use it all the time to remove blemishes from non-unibody polycarbonate MacBooks.
