Cleaning out old applications

Hi all

I am running OS X Tiger, CS2 applications and want to know what is the best way to clear off old applications from the hard drive – without messing things up.

I have old Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc etc applications and I'm not sure what I can ditch and what I should leave.

To put things in perspective... I still have Acrobat 5 and Photoshop 7 files laying about.

Would appreciate some guidance.
