Can anyone recommend the best way of cleaning the metal and the screen on a powerbook...?

Cheers,
Simon

There's a lot of cleaners out there for the screen that you can buy, but I find that a soft towel that's damp can do the same job. As far as the metal, I guess it matters whether it's aluminum or titanium, but I'm not really sure

Thanks for the advice on the screen, I have an aluminum powerbook!

On my TiBook I normally use...

...a tiny drop of fairy liquid on a damp cloth (if scruffy). Then I wipe off with damp cloth twice and a final wipe with dry kleenex. It´s a nice little ritual that gives you and your ´book time to really bond.

I guess you could also use Vodka or some other clean spirit but I haven´t tried that. The wipes you buy are spirit based, I think.

Thanks for your help people, I'll spend sometime with me 'book' cleaning it tonight!

I use that iClean or iClear or whatever from the apple store...it has a sort of wax in it that makes the PB shine, i dig it!

anyone ever tried nail polish remover?

BAD IDEA!! I've done it to a portable CD player and the thing was ruined. It eats away at the metal surface....

i got some monster iclean from the apple website it has 2 bottles and a microfiber cloth... it is imho top notch... the microfiber cloth gets dust and dirt of and if its a bit more stubborn then use a little spry...

and wash your grubby mitts before typing lol
