General Cleaning Temp Files on iOS

I found this article on CNET today and was wondering if anyone has tried this app out yet.

Will this help with iCloud Backups? The backups for both my iPhone 4S and iPad Mini are taking up a little more than a gig total of space on my account, and I just have the free 5 GB plan.

I want to try and cut down on their size.

well i just tried it and it removed 400MB from my phone - mostly in the form of "cache and off-line files".


the process of scanning and deletion is slow but i couldn't otherwise find any faults in the app.


i checked those apps that according to PhoneClean were responsible for much of the junk (eg. Flipboard, whatsapp, pimp your screen) and to my relief my preferences and settings were all still there.



update: it removed 500MB from my IPT. haven't spotted any issues either.

FINALLY! The app caches can get insane on my iPhone. Instagram is 500MB (Starts at around 40MB) they clean the files eventually but this is nice

I ran it and got rid of 2GB on my 32GB iphone 5.
