Cleaning "The Mouse" (macmice)

Anyone using "The Mouse" by macmice? Multi-button with scroll wheel. Mine has started double-clicking when single-clicked. Click on the title bar of a window, for instance, and the window minimizes. Can this device be cleaned? Suggestions? Thanks to all.
