Hi guys.
I hope this is the right place. I've just upgraded the RAM in my late 2009 21.5" iMac from 4GB to 16GB and with it I've also deleted about 200GB of data from my 1TB hard drive. I've noticed a huge improvement in performance already. However, I was wondering if there's anything else I can do to improve performance further?
I've deleted any unused applications I could find, I think I all associated folders, too. There may be traces of them left behind somewhere, but as I understand it we don't have the problems that PC users have with applications leaving mess in the registry.
I guess I wondered if there's anything else I can do to help things along, like some form of HD cleaning tool, deleting cache, running a scan or repair or anything like that?
Thanks in advance.
Adam.
