Clear iSpot, Unlocking For Anything?

This week I noticed that the Clear iSpot is on sale, (Clear), it is something I have been looking at for a while. I heard there is unlocking methods so that you can use it for any devices and computers, (Engadget).

Does anyone have any experience unlocking these iSpots and if is it still reliable? Could I revert back to normal if I needed to?

My iSpot worked fine on my MacBook Pro until a couple days ago, now it won't work. So I was looking into that ispotunrestricted website, does anyone have any experience with this? It looks easy but I heard in the first release there was a big security hole. Anyone tried out the second release?
