I suppose it's not possible to have a clear magsafe case without the ugly circle, is it? I suppose it's just somewhere "inside" on the silicon cases?

At least they could have offered some cases with the same colours as the phone, instead of making the circle white.

I'm looking for a clear case with magsafe for the iPhone 13 mini, but the white circle just looks terrible. I don't have the phone yet but would love to get it in red.

Maybe someone knows if the clear magsafe case exists with the circle in the same red?

You'll just have to spend some time trawling Amazon, eBay, Ali Express etc.

I found this within a minute which sounds like what you're looking for but isnt for the mini https://www.amazon.co.uk/Losvick-13...+13+mini+magsafe+case+red,aps,71&sr=8-47&th=1

I ordered the Peel clear case which does not have the ring on the back but will still charge with Magsafe due to the case being very thin. I am only looking to protect from scratches. Check it out

I see a "soft" and a "hard" version, which one do you have? https://int.buypeel.com/products/super-thin-iphone-13-case?variant=39451586592851 Are there any issues otherwise, with the iPhone charging slower or something like that?

Do you also have some pics somewhere by any chance? It's hard to imagine what it looks like on those 3d pictures.

Interesting, thanks!

Cases without the circle will work with wireless charging, but the magnetic strength is greatly reduced to a point where it may/probably won't hold if you're using it on a car holder, stand, etc. The circle hides the extra magnets which are there to keep the magnets strong.

The circle is just the magnets and has nothing to do with the charging technology, right?

I really didn’t like it on my 14 but after about a week I didn’t even notice it. I just got a new 15 with Apple clear case. I had to pick it up and look at the back before responding just to see if this case has the circle. I just don’t notice it.

If the case doesn’t have the magnets you won’t have MagSafe. It obviously doesn’t cancel the magnets/Magsafe on the phone itself but if the case doesn’t have it then the phone won’t pass it thru either.

If MagSafe is not a concern for you, or you don’t use it, then any clear case without MagSafe will do. The charging technology as you say will not work with a case that doesn’t have the circle magnets however.

The magnet ring just secures the phone to the charger. Without the ring you have to lay the charger on a flat surface and put the phone on it just right to charge. Some cases come with different colored rings too so its less obvious

I ordered the soft clear case. I should receive it later this week and I will let you know about charging as well as provide pics. I am going to return the clear case to Apple due to it being too bulky. I am going caseless for now until Peel arrives.

Wireless Qi charging works by aligning electrical coils on both the charger and the phone. If the coils are not aligned, it will still charge, however it won't be as efficient and could generate more heat.

The magnets help to ensure the coils are aligned for the best charging efficiency, but they are not strictly required for wireless charging to work.

Thanks guys, I think I prefer to have a magnet then. I'll have to see if I find a clear case with the magnet in the same red as the iPhone, however.

Another thing however is also wether I want this Qi charging at all. I'll have to read into it. I suppose cable charging is always more efficient. I think I may pass on it completely, and then just get a nice clear case and the problem is solved :)

Actually I've seen some pics and never mind, it's not really what I am looking for.

Now I'd be looking for something like the Apple clear case but without MagSafe. It's so hard to find something good, everything looks cheap.

Do you people know some renowned case brands?

I kind of don't want to go with 3rd party. I think material choice is a matter too. I don't want my skin to get in touch with potentially carcinogenic materials. I think with Apple we can be safe, but with other brands, especially small and unknown, cheap ones, it becomes very sketchy.

We don't our phones everyday and all the time, we shouldn't forget that.

Pretty much all cases are made in the same factory in China using the same materials. There's pretty much no difference between the $15 one on Amazon or the $50 one from Apple, other than the marketing behind them. It's really not worth paying extra for a "name brand".

But for example the Apple silicone case is made out of silicone, whereas many other cases are made from TPU. I don't think silicone poses risks to your health, whereas TPU does I believe.

There's many different forms of polymers and some are known to pose health risks, while others are not.

Not for clear cases, which is what you said you were looking at. You can't get a clear case made out of silicone, from Apple or anyone.

Ok I see, I’ve actually only come across one on Amazon that said it was made from silicone, must have been a mistaken. Almost all of them were made of TPU.

I’ll have to see if I still want a clear case.

TPU can be safe for your health under certain conditions.

Most Amazon listings lie. They stuff the titles full of keywords just so they show up on the search results, and the pictures usually aren't very accurate either. That's probably the main thing you're getting by paying for a "real" brand: some assurance that the pictures and descriptions are accurate.

Would love to see Spigen put out four Ultra Hybrid Magsafe cases to match the pink, green, blue, & yellow iPhones.
That said, the white magsafe ring looks really great on my green one. I can't imagine it wouldn't look good with the other soft coloring though. That said, yeah, matching rings would be great, as long as they did a good job matching, that's probably the hardest part, keeping that color match consistent from unit to unit.

I think if Apple did it, they would get it right. And the clear MagSafe case is from them after all.

I just noticed that there used to be a leather case for the 13 mini as well. Apple doesn’t sell it anymore it seems.

But now I wonder if Apple had a clear case without MagSafe for the 13 mini in the past perhaps?

Also does anyone with this case know if it’s maybe possible to remove the magnets somehow? Will it look like a clear case then or is it going to be a mess?

I know there’s plenty of alternatives but I don’t think they’ll be as good as the Apple one.
