I'd like to lend a laptop to a friend
I'd like to clear the old power book G4 of everything but leave on all the applications I bought.
I'd like to put what I cvlear onto my ext hard drive

What is the best way to do this?

Thanks

Step one, hook up external drive.
Step two, copy all data in User folder to external.
Step three, erase all data in User folder in internal.

There are other things stored here and there, but unless they are computer savvy, they will not know where to look for it. You might also want to go to User/Library/Mail and copy to the external and then delete all that is in there.

I'm not sure what else to delete.

MAYBE the easiest way would be to perhaps create a new user account, make it the default admin account, then delete yours.
