Anyone get this case for the iPhone X? I couldn't get the case on my iphone. The fit is so tight that I'm afraid ill damage my phone trying to get it in the case... anyone else having this issue.

I don’t have this case, but here’s my experience with an extremely tight case. Speck CS Grip on iPhone 6 Plus was extremely tight, but case went on and off just fine. Your phone is tougher than you think.

Just push in volume side first and push the other sides down. Don’t sweat it.

Yes, mine is unbelievably tight. I had the Symmetry for the 7 plus, but I think they messed up on the specs for the X. There’s an uncomfortable amount of force required to get it in there. I’m taking mine back to target and getting the Presidio Grip.

Yep.. gonna return it and stick with my Patchworks ITG Level for now.

Yes sir. I had a Speck case which was as snug when my 6+ plus was new. I’d rather have it a bit tight rather than having a bit of movement inside the case.

That being said, don’t be scared to break the phone. Just get one corners in all the way and you should be set.

It’s definitely a tight fit and I can see how it’d be nerve wracking for some but I prefer the fit this way. I had a well reviewed Amazon clear case but the sides were a little loose and dirt could easily creep in.

Well said. Like you, same here with 6+. The case is fine. I’m sure glass back of iPhone creates friction, when installing it into the clear back of case.

The op is not comfortable installing a super tight case and that’s okay. That doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with it.

no I have put tight cases on before. This one is abnormal. I'm talking fingers turning red from trying to get the phone in tight. Still a no go. Perhaps there is a bad batch of these cases out there. Someone else in this thread also had a similar issue.

Perhaps you’re right and there is a bad batch, but the case is far from defective. It’s a very tight fit from most accounts. This was the same with the Speck Candyshell Grip. Some folks returned those saying they were too tight. Even saw a post here claiming it bent their phone. It’s perfectly normal to feel you could damage the phone putting it on. That’s why folks returned the Grip.

I also got the Otterbox Symmetry Clear Case too and its too tight to put on and take off. I had the Otterbox Symmetry case with the leather bottom and clear top that apple sells on my 7+ and it was never this tight. This case is too tight. Is this normal ?

Mine was tight, but I just took it off and put it back on without much effort. If I were you I’d definitely email or message Otterbox on Facebook. It’s at least worth letting them know.

I took my case off tonight to use it naked as I felt jealous after playing with display units at the Apple store. Phone feels so much better without a case.

I had to take it off a few times after installing it back due to a speckle of dust on the back. After a few times, you will find the easiest way to install it and will eventually feel lees snug.

The last few times I installed the case, started with one corner, then popped in the other on the opposite side vertically, not shorter end. Hope this helps.
[doublepost=1509858793][/doublepost]I’ll be glad to post a video of the procedure. It’s even much easier popping the case out. Once one corner is out, the rest is a breeze.

I will do that and I will see if I need to maybe exchange it. I got mine at my local Verizon Wireless Corporate Store.

Yes. I had the problem too. I'm going to be returning it. I've never had to use that much effort to put a case on. On launch day I had bought the OtterBox statement series case from Apple and I got it Wednesday. it fits my phone perfectly and I like it much better it's not hard as heck to get it on and off. I have the same case on my 7+ and I liked it then it's even nicer in a smaller format of the x.

Found a perfect video which shows how to install and uninstall this case. This is exactly how I do it.

I tested the case, and the fit was very tight!

I didnt like the case because the lower lip was to i high. Using Reachability was a nightmare with symmetry.

[doublepost=1509908163][/doublepost]Just a tip, Oakley has an oleophobic solution called Nano-clear. No more fingerprints and grease on the backs of your cases, or even glass of your phone.

I went back to Verizon and exchanged the case and my replacement one is way better.

Glad it worked out for you. Must have just been a bad batch

I was at Target today and saw this case is $44. Liking it even more that I purchased it just for $27 at Amazon.

Nice Oakleys, I've got Juliets, XXs, Romeo 2.0s, I've gone through a couple of rounds of refurb, with new rivets, gaskets, rubber, lenses (they're all originally purchased by me).

Do the sides yellow on this case?

Is this adequately protective against drops for the back glass?

I have the Statement and looked at the symmetry looks nice and slimmer but have some reservations about itn

I had and returned the Symmetry, there was nothing wrong with the case, I just preferred the looks of the Statement. It may be just me, but the Statement also seems to have better protection, the the bottom is much more comfortable when holding one hand (phone resting on pinky); the Symmetry was a little sharp around the lighting port.

Awesome figured as much

Just checking :)

Really happy with my statement it’s just it’s the first legit case I stumbled across just making sure I made right choice

Definitely prefer to a commuter style case where the look of the phone becomes standard otterbox again

The leather bottom of statement really does make a difference for the feel in hand imo too
