So I get that its 1800p, but that would be hard to see so it scales things to 900p, 1050p, and 1200p, etc. But does it also scale programs like FCPX, or does FCPX stay at a 900p work area but with just better resolution? I know it scales websites, but I haven't seen any programs, and i've heard it leaves them at a 900p area to work with...is that true?

Basically if I wanna have around a 1200p area to work with, would I be using the scaling that comes on OSX, or using that 3rd party work around to do it? I've almost considered getting last year 17 inch, but I don't wanna take a step back, i'd like USB 3.0, and frankly that thing just looks heavy lol.
