Clear URL on non-Safari browsers

Good morning -

I have a jailbroken 3GS running 4.2.1.

One of things I do like about Safari is it will automatically clear out the address bar when touching it to enter another address.

One thing I've nothing with other browsers is they will not automatically clear it out. You have to highlight the address and then backspace.

Is there something in Cydia that would mimic the similar behavior as Safari? By the way, I've been using Mercury browser lately.

There is also a thing in cydia that can make the browsers the default

The browsers I have seen all present the x at the right end of the URL bar once you tap the current entry. Weird.
