what do the clearance items mean in the apple store
isnt that when theyre trying to clear stock
anyways both the imac and the mbp are in it
does it mean new mac updates??:confused:

they have been there since the last updates. it is basically old stock. check the buyer's guide link in this webpage for update history

You are right. I don't believe Apple (or anyone else) can sell previously "opened" machines as a clearance item. I'm pretty sure it has to be sold as a refurb, regardless of what state it returned in. With that in mind, one would have to assume that the clearance items are old, unopened stock that has been returned/not sold.

I wouldn't hold your breath on the iMacs, they have nearly all the goodies that Montevina provides. Though Apple could put in the Core 2 Duo Extreme processors for a quad-core iMac...
