Just clearing dropbox cache and came across this:

dropbox-darwin-update-1.0.10.tar.bz2

Anyone know what it is?

Also can I delete it without harming anything?

My vote is yes, since it was in the cache. No idea what it is , besides the obvious guess of an update. Perhaps from the auto update mechanism.

I agree. The standard line in the Dropbox forums is whenever you have trouble, to delete the cache and restart, so I doubt anything important would be stored there.
