Here's the facts: iBook g4 14" 1.2Ghz (2004), 1.25GB RAM, OS X 10.4.8

So a couple weeks ago, I suddenly discovered I couldn't click and drag items with my mouse or trackpad. I could click and drag to select multiple items, but not to drag those items. It happened that one time, and it fixed itself after restarting. It just happened again today while I was working. . . nothing else changed. I was creating a new mail message when I suddenly found I couldn't attach files by drag-and-drop.

So to review: I can select multiple files, drag text clippings, drag links from Safari, but not drag-and-drop files.

Anyone have this happen? I couldn't find anyone else with this problem in earlier threads. I hope it's just a fluke. I am trying to squeeze a few more months out of this poor machine--she's done a fair amount of traveling, but I'm not quite ready to buy a new MacBook. :(

Yeah, see how it goes with Metallifizer disabled for a while. Also, if that doesn't help then try creating a new user account and see if the problem carries over to there. If it doesn't then you can narrow the problem down to something in your Home folder. :)

I temporarily disabled AppEnhancer, logged off-and-on, and it's fixed now. Hopefully it lasts.

Thanks!
