Every now and then, my brand new iMac (got it yesterday) makes sounds like a click or pop from its left side. I can clearly identify the two types of sound. I'm worried about it, is there any identified issue that I can mention to Apple and get a replacement?

I would certainly call Apple and ask for guidance on this one
You don't want a clicking computer for the next x years!

Well, I live in Portugal and I can only call Apple on Monday but, meanwhile, I've downloaded and applied this APM script (http://mckinlay.net.nz/hdapm/) and the noise it's pretty much gone.
I get the clicking sound (http://youtu.be/kt6asKkMJq0) but only very rarely and (when it happens) it's a lot quieter than it used to be. I reckon the script solved the issue and, now, it's just the normal sound of a solid HDD... I wouldn't even care about it if wasn't for before. Maybe in the future Apple will release a firmware and address this hickup.

Boy those were the days. Yep, if the APM is working, then it's just the hard drive parking its heads. No big deal, and solved using that tool.
