I have tried click2call and others but none offer a click to sms feature in additiin to calling or facetiming. Is there such an app or hack?

Is there a hack that lets u click on a contact-type-icon to initiate a SMS to that contact.?

I have tried click2call, for example, which lets u click on a contact-type-icon to initiate a phone call...

I use BiteSMS, it's not exactly what you described, but it has quick reply where you can click to call from lockscreen, or home screen.

It's pretty similar, hopefully this helps!

i still dont understand i can click on a contact and then "text message" to initiate a sms to that contact

do you want an icon on your springboard that you can click which will open up an SMS to a certain person?

Lockinfo has that capability. You can set the lockinfo as one of the home screen pages, and use the "favorites" plugin.
