Hello everyone,

Ive got a problem with my a few months ago purchased Macbook Pro. This problem comes and goes, first noticed about a week ago:
I cant click anything when my mouse pointer gets under a height of about 4/5 of the screen. I cant left click, right click anything nor hover-scroll a window without focus. This issue persists in every program but doesnt involve the dock. Im using a bluetooth mouse, but its the same on my trackpad. Even if i close all unnecessary programs, disconnect every hardware (bluetooth, usb keyboard,...) Furthermore im also using an external monitor, but problem persists if just working on the built in display. I have tried rebooting, resetting NVRAM, disabling and removing USB Overdrive.

My System:
MacBook Pro, mid 2012
OS X 10.8.2

Please,... if someone could help me... i really dont know what to do to solve this. Im working on Mac OS for years, never ever had a problem like this.

cheers,
thanks in advance,
Peter

Edit: Things getting more precise: I tried different display modes in Photoshop. Turns out, that the problem occurs in standard screen mode, in full screen mode with menu bar, BUT not in Full Screen Mode. I also figured out that the unresponsive area isnt that big as i thought. I made a screenshot, opened it Photoshop and tried marking the area with dots. --> http://imgur.com/HuKup
