I have an out-of-warranty iBook, and for about the past week it makes a clicking noise, about three-four clicks or so on boot-up, it seems to originate from the back-right corner on the keyboard-side: as of now, it'll shut-off intermittently.

I'll be taking it in to a local Apple store, as they said they can look at it for free and tell me what it would cost to repair, but I'd like to get opinions here as well.

Thanks.

my guess would be one of the fans are broken and now your laptops overheating and turning off randomly and abruptly.
