I have an iMac and it is making a constant clicking noise, like twice a second it is clicking (kind of like a slow moving fan sound but a more distinct 'Click'_

What do you think is going on?

So I restarted my Computer and it made a real loud noise. I think it may be the fan. Or does the HD make that?

No, that sounds more like a fan. Dying hard drives don't make loud noises, just quiet ones.

Of course, if it's the hard drive fan, you could be in danger of a drive failure anyway. They're not generally designed to operate above 60ºC.

*Sigh* Okay great! That means my documents should be safe =) Apple is already scheduled to fix it tomorrow :D

Thanks!!
