So I was accidentally carrying my MBP and my wallet (which has a magnet in it to clip money) together with my wallet being under the MBP, and all of the sudden there was a clicking noise that lasted for like 3 seconds form the left side of the laptop. My MBP was open with Chrome running and nothing on the screen changed but now I am worried that I screwed something up internally. There are no signs that I screwed something up but I am just scared because of the noise. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Well, the only real way to know if something got screwed up in that case is to notice it...

You could go through System Profiler and make sure everything is detected properly and running?

Just in case, do a backup of your data in case it goes south but if it's still operating normally it could be fine.

Hard to diagnose with "3 clicks" ... it could be anything, maybe even just a weird noise if the wallet rubbed against the Mac...
