Clicking on buttons not working - Unibody

I seem to be having trouble clicking on buttons in OSX. Like, I can sit there and click and move around the mouse on the red X in the top left corner of a window, but it will do nothing. This can happen with any button, but always seems to bother me the most with the X's.

Has anyone ever heard of this? This occurs with the trackpad, and an external mouse. Also, a clean install doesn't fix it.

Moving the mouse a lot seems to get it to work, like I must move it a couple of inches away for the button, and back to get it to work. This happens all the time too. (numerous times a day)

Any ideas?

So no one has heard of this issue? It drives me crazy when I go to close something and it won't close. Then I have to move the window around to get it to respond.
