Hi

I have Macbook Pro 2017 (13", no touchbar) .
When I click on the trackpad I hear a sound (hardware sound).

I tried my friend's Macbook Pro (13', with touchbar) and I couldn't hear any sound while clicking.

So is that one of the differences between both models or there is something wrong ?

Note: Trackpad click is set to "Light"

Just to verify, I assume you mean some sound other than the sound the trackpad is designed to make unless 'silent clicking' is enabled?

Do you by chance have a video with audio of the sound?

Unfortunately I don't have a video

Unfortunately I don't have a video

It's going to be hard to determine what the cause is without being able to hear it. If you get a chance to take a video/audio recording, it will help Members here in trying to determine what the specific sound is.

If you take it in for service, IMO it is very, very useful to have a video showing the behavior + sound, in the event a technician cannot reproduce it (or can't hear it in a noisy workshop.)
