Clipart Download & Word 2011 (Microsoft Office for Mac)

I am new to MAC but have been happily using one since Christmas. I was able to download clipart for my work from the MS office site. First .wmf files weren't being accepted. What I then realized is that files were no longer being directed into clipart. For regular Word users I saw recommendations of emptying the temp file to stop the problem. I don't think Mac has a temp or I can't find it. I wasted hours today & would appreciate any input. Thanks.
p.s. I have Mac OSX 10.6.7

This thread may be helpful. I was thinking finding a plist to delete, but that's not the issue. There are partial downloads under Documents as well.
