Clock app won’t play music

The clock app on my 14pro will only play the default alarm sound. I select a song and it plays during setup, but won’t play when alarm goes off. anyone else have this issue?

Hey ifman Yes Having the exact same issue!! iPhone Xs on IOS 16.03 seems to have started with update to IOS 16.Just tweeted @#applesupport

so Bloody frustrating - does not just work.....

Just spent about an hour on the phone with  Support trying every option etc def sounds like a software issue hopefully many fixed with IOS 16.1?

UPDATE: Just tried on older iPad Air IOS 12.5.6 totally works song played as Alarm

UPDATE X 2 Just got it to work on iPhone with IOS 16.03 D'loaded complete Album picked song and it played the song (Tangled up In Blue) as per normal with no default tone this time

UPDATE X3 Still Inconsistent Some songs work others don't (but songs do play when setting up Alarm) and when they don't they revert to a generic default tone So lovely to Wake up too. Bloody Frustrating !! This just worked in IOS 14 and below.

UPDATE X4 Ok had some luck getting Chaos in The CBD song to play by turning off Lossless in Settings Music Quality.
So this all worked perfectly under IOS 14 and below and now it does not. But Hey  Love Love the nu Watch Band Colors!!


Fix your bloody software.
