I've searched around but everything I've found is an unrelated issue with Windows XP in boot camp...

If I leave my MBA asleep for over a day (I haven't found a specific duration, but it's more than a few hours,) then when it wakes up it'll have itself set to some time after I put it to sleep.

I've often waited for it to set itself for several days, but it never automatically fixes itself (in spite of how often it is connected to the internet.)

Every time I have to open up Date & Time preferences, uncheck and then recheck "Set date and time automatically", and then it'll automatically set itself just that once.

Why the heck does it never actually correct itself? Shouldn't it fix itself when it boots or wakes or well, ever? Me manually unchecking and rechecking a box isn't exactly what I call "automatically".

I don't have this issue at all on my iMac.

I suspect the issue might occur when my battery gets very low.
