Clone iTunes library and media onto external drive?

Hi

I want to make a clone of my iTunes library onto an external portable drive so that I can take it to work with me.

I store all my music and library on an firewire harddrive. Not all of my music (about 130gb) is in my library. Library is around 70gb. I like to keep my music folders organised myself, so the MP3 files themselves are not in the iTunes library.

So I am looking for a way to copy the iTunes Library, and the media files it uses onto the portable HDD. That way I only copy the MP3 files that are actually in the iTunes Library.

Any ideas?

I'm not quite sure i understand exactly what you are looking to do, but you can copy and past your itunes directory to the external drive.
