Clone Lion via DiskUtil not working??

so, first, it seems like u cannot just fire up DU and clone the system-disk via the restore function onto an external drive anymore, you need to cmd-r boot into the recovery mode

but when i do that, and press restore, nothing happens, nothing, no message, no error, no action

wtf is happening? ANOTHER lion bug??

it sure looks filevault2 is the culprit; i decrypted the drive and cloning is running now.

yeah, why not?
so is an external software less buggy then an operating system tool? good job, apple.
does ccc support cloning FV2 drives?
