Hi everyone,

I've just received my new SSD for my 2008 mac pro.
Is it best to do a clean install of the OS and applications or is cloning acceptable?
I'm assuming with Cloning I will need to clear all excess files off of my drive (going from 500Gb to 120Gb).
What would you do and why?

Thanks in advance.

Clean install onto the SSD this will ensure you have a stable system. It also will allow you to separate your data from your apps.

Cheers
