I'm going to be buying a new 240GB SSD to install to my mid 2012 MacBook Pro. I have my current stock 750GB hard drive partitioned with 450GB for OSX and 300GB for Windows. Altogether though the memory being used up is only about 230GB being used by both partitions. Would that be the extra 10GB be enough gap to leave to clone the drive. Is it even cable of cloning both OS partitions on the SSD. Sorry I'm new to this. Also I've never once used the optical drive since I bought this mac over a year and a half ago, so would putting the SSD there be an option? What is the difference between replacing the hard drive with an SSD and or putting in in the optical drive spot?
