Cloning MBP HD to Mac Mini?

I have a 2011 15" MBP which I've recently installed a clean version of Mavericks on. I also just picked up a 2012 Mac Mini and I'm wondering if I can clone my MBP HD onto a new SSD and put it into the Mac Mini without any issues?

That will work just fine.

Where you get in trouble is trying to run an old OS X version on 2015 Macs, but in your case, those will both run Mavericks fine.
