Hello, I'm really tempted by closeout black CD MBs, vs the new white C2D models. Can I get a quick straw poll on these two, please?

2.0GHz Intel Core Duo 1GB/80GB SuperDrive Black, $1069

-vs-

2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1GB/80GB SuperDrive White, $1199

Which one do you guys think I should go for? The blackbook is definitely cool, but do you think I'll kick myself in the future if I don't opt for a Core 2 Duo system?

Thanks!
Dan.

The C2D being 25% faster translates into negligible performance increase. However, the black looks cooler. I think saving $130 is worth it. The black color is a bonus.

Is this some new meaning of the word negligible that I wasn't aware of? (I know it's a new spelling of it) :) .

The bigger cache size (2MB vs. 4MB). The 64-bit ability. The pre-n wireless, all stack up to being cooler than the colour.

I say this as someone who wouldn't ordinarily consider white to be an option for a macbook as well.

Black, I like the feel of the black much better. I can't notice the diff in processor at all. Then again I use it for web, word excell. Either would be a great machine.
