Closing Ad Tab on Safari

Ok, basically what the title says. I'm new to Mac and purchased a macbook pro recently.Anyways, I was on safari and accidentally clicked on those website where a pop up pops up and you have no choice to click Ok/Continue/or something, is there any way I can close just that tab without having to click those OK button? Cause like i cant click close/red/x button and I DONT want to quit safari because I have other windows open...so yea..help??

Why can't you click the "Close Button"?
Have you tried CMD+W?

Does that mean, clicking the close button does not result in the closing of the tab? Strange.

CMD+W will close the tab, if you are unsure, go to the Menu Bar > File >
