I came from a series 0... not sure if this is a feature of S5 where the app i last used gets blurred out in the background? I was hoping the app closes itself after use and the watch will display my usual watch face instead.

This is actually an S5 feature. Always on Display. It looks like that when you have an app open and the watch goes into its low refresh state.
What I believe you’re looking for is in the watch app under settings>general >wake screen>never unless in session

Thanks!! I followed your steps and it worked! I turned off that feature lol. :cool:
