Is there any way through System Preferences or otherwise to make it so that when I close my iBook, it doesn't go to sleep. Sometimes (especially when going to bed), I want to close my iBook to cut down on light when I first get into bed, but then I would lose my internet connection when it goes to sleep.

Help!

There is a hack out there that can do it for you but be warned: The ibook release some of the laptop heat through the keyboard and you might end up with some nasty results.

Apple did not design the ibook for clamshell mode so you are options are limited.

Bless

The program you'd be looking for would be InsomniaX or SleepLess.

But yes, as 2nyRiggz said, the iBook is not designed to be run in clamshell mode, and you risk damage to your computer from overheating if you choose to use these hacks.
