My company wants to protect some confidential files. We want to encrypt a file, and only allow someone to open it if their access can be authenticated.

We are considering two ways to do this:
1) fingerprint check
2) cloud based check (login is checked on cloud server before opening the file)

We can find some ways to do this on Windows, but the solutions we have found (e.g. DigitalPersona) do not seem to work with Mac.

Does anyone know if such an application/service exists that is acceptable to Mac (in addition to windows)?
