First,
Before iCloud Photo Sharing this was my workflow:
- Occasionally sync my photos from my iOS devices to iPhoto
- Of photos I really wanted to keep on my photo I would create smart albums in iPhoto which were based on keywords I assigned to photos
Now with iCloud Sharing these are things I can't do:
- Create albums on the Mac with iPhoto. All albums must be created on the iOS device via a Shared Album
- Only shared albums can be seen across devices. You can't create a private album on an iOS device and see it within iPhoto
- There's no way on an iOS device to assign keyword or edit metadata. Which in my opinion will make searching for photos a pain once you have lots of them.
Hope things will change once the new photos app is released next year for the Mac.
