I'm considering purchasing an iPad in the upcoming refresh. I am a student so I would like to save as much money as possible. My university provides unlimited cloud storage through Box. This is how we access ALLL of our coursework.

If I used my iPad and Notability/OneNote or something for reading pdfs/ppts, marking up, and saving again online, does it take up internal storage? I want to see if I can get away with just the base amount of storage, whatever that may be. I will be having no games, music etc on this device, it will be used mostly for school/medical apps for the clinic.

of course, i will be grudgingly pay more, but only if needed!

You should be fine with the 16Gb. I do the same as what you are going to do, but with iCloud. Just make sure you have enough storage to keep textbooks and working docs offline.. Just in case you need them and you don't have Internet access.
