Hi. I recently requisitioned a home security system, something like this

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11270778

And, I'm trying to export the video to my computer, when I do, I wind up with a file that ends in ".clp"

I've tried researching this, but come up with little results. Is anyone familiar with this format, and know how I can get this files into a editable raw video form?

Any help is appreciated.

According to the link you provided, the video is compressed in a unique fashion:

" This system combines Dual Codec compression technology utilizing JPEG2000 for high resolution local recording along with the latest H.264 compression for efficient network transmission "

It appears they're recording as still images and converting that into a h.264 video wrapper. It may be a proprietary codec scheme ... I'd recommend calling the manufacturer's tech support for details on converting the footage:

" *For Product Questions or Service and Warranty Issues contact Lorex : 1 (888) 425-6739 "
