Have anyone experienced this? This is the first time i try since my leopard install and once i hit Cmd-Shift-3 the screen freezes for 10 sec befre having the screen shot on my desktop...on Tiger it was immediate, on my GF leopard MB it is als super fast...
Any idea?
Thx

I think i found why so let me share...
I have assigned some applications to each of my spaces...so i guess requesting a screen shot on space 1 is slower as it may check all virtual spaces? I have now removed all apps assigned to spaces and curiously now the cmd-shif-3 is much faster...

Do you find this logical?

Now it happens again...Cmd-shift-3 and it takes like 10 sec to get the screen shot...in the meantime my laptop is frozen like it is taking huge ressources to do such a simple operation...very frustrating...i did not buy a 2K$ MPB to see it struggling to capture a screen shop.

In iStat everything looks normal (low use of RAM)...sometime Window server goes up & down (not sure what that is).

Anyone has an idea?
Thank you for your help.

Bringing up an old thread.

Any fix for this? Just noticed this today on a fresh install of leopard. Then tried 2 other machines running leopard. All just hang for a few seconds before screenshot appears. I then tried a 10.4.x machine and it happened instantly. What gives?

Just started happening for me as well, but for Cmd-Ctrl-Shift-4.
Really odd.

EDIT: Ok now it's stopped doing it. It was happening in Aperture and Pixelmator. Everything was locking up. Oh well.
