Cmd + Shift + 4 + Spacebar Issues

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me resolve an issue I'm having with screencaps. When I use Cmd + Shift + 4 + Spacebar, the right side of the screen gets cutoff. I'm attaching an image so you can see what I'm talking about. This functionality used to work and I'm not sure why it's not anymore, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running 10.6.8 and the browser I'm using is Firefox 16.0.2.
