I'm switching back from Opera to FF, since Opera 12.01 is complete crap. However, I really miss the ability to reopen closed tabs using Cmd+Z. There's an extension to use ctrl+z, but that gets annoying on a Mac real fast. I tried to map a keyboard shortcut in System Prefs but it requires me to enter the exact menu item, and there is no "Reopen Closed Tab" menu item. I tried getting an add-on to add this menu item, but it didn't seem to work. Any ideas?

That's what I love about Safari. :) I didn't know Firefox had the functionality without an addon.

Yes, but Safari has problems that are a lot more teething than lack of cmd+z to reopen tabs. Like force reloading all tabs when one stops responding (a real PITA when you have 100+ tabs open), or not being able to restore your last session on occasion, or randomly force quitting.

Opera was fine for my needs until I updated to the latest version. Random lockups, YouTube vids will finish midway (if Flash plays at all), it's slow, and it's hogging more resources than ever. And somehow it sometimes randomly remaps my keys. E.g. cmd+t opened the "open" dialog box, cmd+s opened a new tab, and cmd+c seemed to have a host of different functions. No idea what that was about.

The force reloading I hate. Agreements.

Does it have to be CMD+Z? The shortcut in Firefox is CMD+Shift+T.

Is it very strange if someone didn't know that this is possible at all?! Because I didn't.
Shame on me, and I was making fun of my mom who doesn't know what a 'window' is and how to deal with them if there's more than one (she's not THAT old I've to add)
